Geiersthal - Altnußberg - Burganlage - Oberleiten - Pfranzgrub - Holzhaus - Geiersthal

Starting at the church square of the church St. Margareta (description please see hiking tour no. 1) this hiking path leads out of ‘Geiersthal’ on the street ‘Bgm.-Fleischmann-Straße’. |

This hiking trail leads along the edge of the woods to the chapel ‘Hofbeikapelle’ in ‘Altnußberg’, a privately owned chapel, which was built at the historic forest trail from Deggendorf to the Valley of ‘Zellertal’ around the turn of the first millennium. |

Going past the castle hill with its castle grounds ‘Altnußberg’ (description please see hiking tour no. 1) you arrive at ‘Oberleiten’. From the castle hill high above ‘Altnußberg’ (673 m) you can enjoy the view to the Valley of Teisnach, from ‘Oberleiten’ you have a view to Viechtach and the counterpart of the castle ‘Altnußberg’: the castle ruin ‘Neunußberg’. |

The hiking tour continues via the ‘Katzenstein’ (609 m), where you can have again a further view to the Valley of Teisnach, to ‘Pranzgrub’ and via ‘Holzhaus’ back again to ‘Geiersthal’. |
